Signature Scent Studio is a fragrance discovery and collection platform that uses artificial intelligence to provide personalized fragrance recommendations. The Service includes:

  • AI-powered chat interface for fragrance recommendations and discovery
  • A browsable fragrance catalog with detailed fragrance profiles
  • Personal fragrance collections with built-in shelves (Want to Try, Tried, Own It) and user-created custom shelves
  • Fragrance ratings and written reviews
  • User profile creation and management
  • Conversation history storage and management

3. User Accounts

Account Registration

You may use certain features of the Service as a guest or create an account via email/password or Google OAuth. If you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and update your information as needed
  • Keep your password secure and confidential
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

Account Termination

4. User-Generated Content

The Service allows you to submit content including fragrance reviews, ratings, profile information, profile photos, and chat messages. You are solely responsible for the content you submit and agree not to post content that is defamatory, obscene, abusive, or that infringes on the rights of others.

We reserve the right to remove any user-generated content that violates these Terms or that we deem inappropriate at our sole discretion.

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Infringe on the rights of others
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code

6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Nature of AI Recommendations

The Service uses artificial intelligence (Amazon Bedrock) to generate fragrance recommendations. You understand and agree that:

  • AI-generated recommendations are for informational purposes only
  • Recommendations are not professional advice and should not replace expert consultation
  • AI responses may contain inaccuracies, errors, or outdated information
  • Fragrance preferences are subjective and individual results may vary
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of AI-generated content

Allergies and Sensitivities

IMPORTANT: The Service does not account for individual allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions. Always check fragrance ingredients and consult appropriate professionals if you have concerns about allergies or sensitivities to fragrance ingredients. We are not liable for any adverse reactions.

7. Intellectual Property

Our Rights

The Service, including its design, features, content, and underlying technology, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express permission.

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service. By submitting content (including chat messages, reviews, ratings, and profile information), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and process that content solely to provide and improve the Service.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
  • Any content obtained from the Service
  • Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
  • Reliance on AI-generated recommendations or content

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US, IF ANY, IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Signature Scent Studio, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Signature Scent Studio regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
