50 Cent

50 Cent entered fragrance in 2009 through a collaboration with Lighthouse Beauty that produced Power by 50 Cent. Curtis Jackson participated in developing the fragrance with perfumer Harry Fremont, learning to identify the scent materials he preferred. By November 2009, he owned part of Lighthouse Beauty, which was reported as manufacturing the fragrance. Power by 50 Cent launched that year with Macy’s as its initial exclusive retailer and is documented as an aromatic-spicy fragrance.
