A Dozen Roses

Established in New York in 2011 by Sandy Cataldo, a perfume expert and collector, and artist Lynn Welsh Emmolo, A Dozen Roses combines fragrance expertise with visual artwork created for its flacons. Its first trio—Shakespeare in Love, Gold Rush, and Iced White—appeared that year, followed in 2012 by Amber Queen and Electron. Rose is the house’s central olfactory theme: the debut collection offered interpretations of red, yellow, and white roses, while later material identified a signature rose absolute. Electron extended that concept through an interpretation of an electric pink rose.
