A Fragrance Story

A Fragrance Story was launched in Pune in 2017 by Hrishikesh Lonkar, his wife Ashlesha, and Prajakta Deo. Conceived as an Indian perfume house, the brand connects fragrance with places, memories, and cultural experiences. Its creative approach brings composition, bottle and carton design, and narrative together through destination-specific visual and olfactory storytelling, including work associated with Goa and the Narmada Parikrama concept. The fragrances are made in India and adapted to Indian skin and climate, with an emphasis on authenticity and individuality rather than mass-production conventions. Parikrama exemplifies this approach: it is based on the Narmada Parikrama pilgrimage route, uses materials associated with the trail, and features packaging designed by an artist who had undertaken the pilgrimage.
