Absolument Parfumeur

Absolument Parfumeur is a fragrance house founded by Pascal Rolland and associated with Aix-en-Provence, France. Its history is linked to Rolland’s 1999 revival of absinthe through Versinthe, a project that led to Absolument Absinthe, a perfume centered on the plant’s identity. Dated to 2006, Absolument Absinthe followed Rolland’s meeting with a perfumer and is the clearest documented example of the house’s absinthe theme, pairing its green, fresh character with a cannabis concept. The house’s creative language draws on Provençal inspiration, older perfumery methods, and absolutes, while its fragrances are designed to be layered into an individual signature. Its early fragrance identity was developed as the Parfum d’Interdits line; official materials present Absolument Femme as following Absolument Absinthe and Absolument Homme. Documented collaborations include Rolland, Marc Villaceque, and Maurizio Cerizza. In 2016, Rolland described Luxury Overdose as an upgrade in packaging and fragrance direction and a possible beginning of a short luxury collection.
