AERIN was founded in New York City in 2012 by Aerin Lauder, beginning as a lifestyle brand with cosmetics and an idea of modern, effortless beauty. The launch included five fragrances, followed a few months later by home candles and objects, while the broader brand developed curated collections spanning beauty, fashion accessories, and home décor. These collections draw on Lauder’s lifestyle, travels, heritage, memories, art, fashion, and design. As founder and creative director, Lauder is responsible for AERIN’s creative direction. At launch, its beauty products were produced under license by Estée Lauder; AERIN Beauty is now part of The Estée Lauder Companies’ portfolio. Its fragrances are organized into the Fragrance Collection, Rose Premier Collection, and Premier Collection, with the scents presented as expressions of travel, heritage, and memory. Amber Musk has been identified as Aerin’s most well-known fragrance. In 2022, AERIN marked its tenth anniversary with Rose de Grasse Joyful Bloom.
