Agatha

Agatha was launched in Paris in 1974 by Michel Quiniou, who sought to create contemporary, accessible jewellery inspired by Paris. The brand’s identity combines wearable Parisian costume jewellery with fashion-led reinterpretations of classic forms, alongside recognizable elements such as the Scottie-dog mascot, navy blue, its logo, charm bracelets, and chunky or wide-link designs. From France, Agatha developed across European, American, Japanese, and Chinese markets; Hong Kong group King Power, which had partnered with the brand in China, acquired it in 2006 after two years of collaboration. On February 26, 2021, THOM Group and Renaissance Luxury Group, through THOM and Altesse, were appointed by the Bobigny Commercial Court to take over Agatha in a 50/50 joint venture. The recovery plan sought to reinforce Agatha’s French identity, and a new brand platform and web platform launched in October 2022.
