Air & Weather

Air & Weather is a privately held New York fragrance company founded in 2021. Founder and owner Julia Crowe began the venture by opening a small online shop for friends while experimenting with trial perfume formulas; it later developed into the brand. The company is centered on small-batch fragrances created by Crowe, whose creative approach treats scent as a form of personal expression comparable to music, with an emphasis on mood, sensory texture, memory, and storytelling. Crowe studied at the University of Chicago, trained in advanced perfumery through Cinquieme Sens, and also works as a multimedia artist, author, and musician. Linden was Air & Weather’s first fragrance, developed from the scent of blooming linden trees in New York’s Stuyvesant Square Park; after missing the 2019 bloom window because of rain, Crowe finalized the formula in 2020. By April 2025, the work included 28 Flower, inspired by Manhattan’s historic flower-market district on 28th Street, and by November, the latest offering was Paris 5 A.M., drawn from Crowe’s memory of an early-morning train journey into Paris and bakery smells before dawn.
