Air-Val International

Founded in Barcelona in 1979 by Francisco García Hernández, Air-Val International is a family-owned company focused on creating, manufacturing, and distributing licensed perfumery and personal-care products, alongside its own brands and bespoke projects. After financial difficulties in the early 1980s, intensified by competition from multinational companies, it sought a new direction in children’s perfumery. The company obtained a Disney character-fragrance licence during that period, and the resulting fragrances changed its trajectory. Disney children’s perfumery, including early examples such as Lady Minnie and Dandy Mickey, is the fragrance family most directly associated with Air-Val’s identity. Since 2013, its adult-fragrance work has been organized through Tailored Perfumes, which built a portfolio of fashion-brand licences. On 22 December 2025, Air-Val International approved a partial corporate spin-off transferring part of its assets to Air-Val Perfumes while the original company continued to exist. In June 2026, Air-Val Perfumes began operating as a division developing and manufacturing fragrances for third-party perfumery, beauty, fashion, and retail brands.
