Akro

Founded in 2018 by Olivier Cresp, Anaïs Cresp, and Jack Miskelly, Akro grew from Anaïs Cresp and Jack Miskelly’s experiences working and living around London’s Ladbroke Grove, where the brand was based. Its name comes from the French word “accro,” meaning “addict,” and its founding idea was to translate everyday addictions, vices, and pleasures into figurative fragrances. Olivier Cresp serves as perfumer and co-founder, while Anaïs Cresp leads the brand’s artistic direction, marketing, merchandising, and communication. Akro launched with six fragrances in 2018, including Smoke, Awake, Dark, Haze, Malt, and Night; Ink followed in 2022 as a tattoo-themed extension of the original concept. After Ink, the brand’s public creative identity moved beyond an exclusively dark, rebellious framing to embrace gourmand fragrances and positive everyday pleasures more openly. Akro’s fragrance legacy is closely tied to its addiction-centered collection: Awake evokes coffee and Dark chocolate. In 2026, Awake, Bake, and Rise were identified as best-selling gourmand fragrances.
