Al Hashimi
Al Hashimi was established in 2018 by connoisseurs of artisanal oud and publicly announced its launch in April that year as a collaboration intended to renew the Arab tradition of oud and perfumery. Its founding mission was to bring oud from the realm of an obscure essential oil to haute-parfum level while preserving Middle Eastern and Islamic perfumery traditions. The brand’s olfactory identity draws on traditional Khaleeji Arab and Islamic oud archetypes alongside experimental distillations from different agarwood-producing regions. Al Hashimi describes an end-to-end approach to oud-oil development, from selecting wood and distilling it to post-distillation conditioning, and produces oud oils and attars in-house. Its perfume direction was framed through Ghallia, a company name under which Al Hashimi perfumes were to be launched, combining occidental and oriental creative traditions. Ghallia Parfums identifies itself as part of the Al Hashimi Group. Artisanal oud is Al Hashimi’s defining fragrance family.
