Al Majed For Oud
Al Majed For Oud traces its origins to Ali bin Othman Al Majed’s wholesale trade in oud and saffron, begun in Saudi Arabia in 1956. In 1982, the business was formally registered in Riyadh as Al Majed for Oud Establishment, founded as a sole proprietorship by Saad Ali Othman Al Majed. It opened its first Riyadh store in 1990, broadening its offering from oud to perfumes, incense, essential oils, accessories and gifts. In 2007, the company shifted its focus to retail and ended its wholesale operations. It acquired the assets of Khalta Perfumes Company in 2022, adding 41 stores, and on 7 October 2024 its shares began trading on the Saudi Exchange’s Main Market under ticker 4165. The brand presents its identity around Saudi and Gulf oud-and-perfume heritage, combining traditional oud trade with new fragrance lines and retail. In 2024, Noir Parfum was named Popular Fragrance of the Year at the Beautyworld Middle East Awards.
