Al Majed Oud

Al Majed Oud traces its business history to 1956, when Ali bin Othman Al Majed began trading wholesale oud and saffron in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The enterprise was formally registered in 1982 as Al Majed for Oud Establishment, founded by Saad Ali Othman Al Majed; it entered retail in 1990 with its first Riyadh store and, in 2007, focused on retail after ending its wholesale business. Its identity centers on oud and perfume heritage, expressing Saudi and regional originality while adapting products for contemporary tastes. On 21 March 2023, the company converted from a limited liability company into a closed joint-stock company. In its fragrance legacy, Serious is identified as the brand’s most famous and best-selling men’s fragrance and an enduring brand-level benchmark.
