Ambra di Venezia
Ambra di Venezia is a couture fragrance produced by designer Montgomery Taylor and associated with an artisan perfume house focused on niche fragrances. First launched on Fifth Avenue in 1998, its creative concept came from Taylor’s experience learning glassmaking in Venice and visiting artisans on Murano; he translated the Venetian sunset and lagoon atmosphere into the fragrance. Rayda Vega collaborated with Taylor as its perfumer. Ambra di Venezia is identified as Montgomery Taylor’s signature fragrance and received a four-star New York Times award. A later collaboration between Taylor and Vega produced Paratus, dated to 2003 in fragrance reference records.
