Amigdala Sentimentals

Amigdala Sentimentals is an independent Turkish fragrance brand founded by perfumer Gamze Seher Döşeyen. The brand is Istanbul-based and active since 2022. Döşeyen’s path into perfumery grew from an interest in fragrance during the early 2000s, followed by a 2014 Istanbul course with Vedat Ozan and Level 1 and Level 2 training at the Grasse Institute of Perfumery in 2017 and 2018. The brand’s name refers to the amygdala’s role in emotional responses to scent and reflects Döşeyen’s admiration for the brain’s power. It debuted in 2023 with Attila, its first fragrance and first batch; each original bottle from that batch was individually numbered. Created by Döşeyen, Attila is a chypre built around a vintage structure with a modern, more wearable character, and it is the brand’s defining fragrance.
