Fragrance house
Amir Oud
Amir Oud is a family-founded fragrance house established in 2017 and based in Richardson, Texas. Lama Joraid is identified as a co-founder and founder of the independent house. Its origins lie in Arab-world and Gulf perfumery traditions, including the use of oud oil and bakhoor in everyday and ceremonial life. The house carries those traditions into a modern context by combining Gulf perfumery with contemporary Western sensibilities. Oud, or agarwood, organizes its fragrance identity, alongside incense, amber, musk, and precious woods. The peacock serves as the house emblem, representing royal-court associations and the variety of colors and characters in its oil library. Amir Oud’s public identity also includes a Richardson fragrance boutique and a related scent-bar concept focused on custom fragrance creation. In 2020, Amir Oud received the LUXlife award for Best Cultural Artisan Perfumery in North Texas.
