Ampersand Fragrances Ltd was incorporated in the United Kingdom on 10 January 2019. Its fragrance house was created by David Walker after approximately 15 years developing, creating, and manufacturing fine fragrance for established luxury brands, and its perfume collection launched in early 2022. Ampersand’s creative premise places scent first, setting aside gendered branding and elaborate presentation to make niche perfumery more broadly accessible. It presents itself as British niche perfumery, with fragrances made by hand in small batches in the UK using responsibly sourced ingredients and cruelty-free, vegan formulations. As of April 2026, Ampersand was positioning itself as a discovery-led fragrance house centred on independent retail, while describing its collection as olfactively diverse rather than focused on a single scent style.
