Andy Hilfiger
Andy Hilfiger, whose full name is Andrew Charles Hilfiger, is an American fashion-industry businessman and musician. He began working in fashion as a teenager at The People’s Place, Tommy Hilfiger’s first store in Elmira, while playing bass and pursuing music. In the 1990s, he worked in Tommy Jeans public relations and helped connect the label with rock, hip-hop, and pop artists. After leaving Tommy, he co-founded Sweetface Fashion with Jennifer Lopez and played a major role in launching the J.Lo by Jennifer Lopez fashion business. In 2011, he launched Andrew Charles at Macy’s with Steven and Chelsea Tyler, naming the label after his first and middle names and building it around the connection between music and fashion. Andrew Charles is rooted in New York, rock and roll, denim, leather, and Americana; Andy and Kim Hilfiger returned the label to New York in 2025.
