Anfas
Founded in Dubai in 2014 by Emirati perfumer Asim Al Qassim, Anfas grew from his effort to express the welcome of an Arabian home and the UAE’s tradition of hospitality through fragrance. Al Qassim, identified as the UAE’s first certified Emirati perfumer, studied perfumery after an earlier career as an architect. The name Anfas means “to breathe” and is associated with hospitality, humility, tolerance, and welcoming others. Its creative identity draws on Arabic cultural heritage, desert imagery, craftsmanship, and narratives of exploration and discovery. Anfas developed this outlook through narrative-led collections: the first focused on an Arabian home, while the second explored the act of creating one, with the third continuing that concept. The brand also designs its fragrances to be layered into a single composed scent, reflecting a Gulf fragrance custom. Its current presentation centers on the Fosol collection, which uses the seasons and life cycles as its narrative framework alongside an Essence of Arabia identity.
