Ania Kuczyńska
Ania Kuczyńska began her fashion practice in Warsaw in 1999, after studying clothing design in Rome and prêt-à-porter in Paris. Her first show took place in her own apartment, with friends serving as models; in 2007, the brand opened its first author boutique on Warsaw’s Solec, before moving to Mokotowska three years later. Kuczyńska’s visual language brings together Polish, Italian, and Parisian experience, with an ornamental-minimalist style, black, and recurring black-and-white elements among its stated markers. Collections begin with muses and unfold as personal stories linked to travel, literature, love, music, and other inspirations. The brand received Designer of the Year awards in 2006, 2013, and 2020, as well as Elle Style Awards for Designer of the Year in 2006 and 2019. In May 2020, retail activity moved online after the Mokotowska flagship closed. Its fragrance line includes the botanical perfumes Terra and Santissima; introduced in October 2023, Terra was the first perfume and launched alongside a capsule collection at Warsaw’s Museum of the Earth. In July 2026, History of Dreams revisited memories and influences including childhood, grunge and techno, Paris, Berlin, and contemporary art.
