Anima Mundi
Anima Mundi is a fragrance brand created within Niche & Co., the Swiss maison founded in 2013 by Giorgio Biella and Emilia Armida Chinigò. Niche & Co. presented the Anima Mundi collection at Pitti Fragranze in Florence in 2017, marking its documented launch period. The original concept revisited ancient civilizations and historical perfume practices through ritual smoke, ancient herbal recipes, and spices associated with the historical Via dei Profumi. Emilia Armida Chinigò shaped the creative direction by selecting materials for the civilizations represented in the first collection, while Andrea Casotti was commissioned to realize the fragrances; Cristian Calabrò was also credited for Ankh Sun Amon. That collection comprised Ankh Sun Amon, Dusara, Isvara, Pompeii, and Tikal, with Ankh Sun Amon named a finalist in the Independent category of the 2018 Art and Olfaction Awards. In 2023, Amytis expanded the historical-imagination approach, drawing inspiration from the Hanging Gardens of Babylon and composed by Michele Marin. Anima Mundi gives voice to the planet’s cultures, traditions, symbols, spiritualities, and diversity of humanity, while its Experience collection explores nature and landscapes encountered through travel.
