Ann Gerard
Ann Gérard launched her own jewellery brand in 1994, and by 2000 the brand had opened a Paris boutique. Its jewellery was presented as contemporary while retaining an intentionally timeless character. Gérard’s move into fragrance began with Cuir de Nacre, created with Bertrand Duchaufour for a 2010 jewellery exhibition; the scent was developed into a fragrance collection that launched in 2012. The brand connects jewellery and perfume as forms of personal adornment, describing perfume as “invisible jewellery.” Duchaufour’s recurring collaboration shaped the fragrance line, which included Rose Cut, reported as the fourth fragrance in 2014.
