Annayake
Established in 1988, Annayake is a Japanese high-cosmetics brand introduced to Europe, bringing together Japanese beauty expertise, science and traditional rituals for Western women. Its identity combines Japanese beauty traditions with European know-how, personalized care, layering rituals, traditional natural knowledge and biotechnology; its stated mission is to help women make peace with the passing of time, which it describes as cyclical and shaped by experience. Annayake joined the Italian family-owned Kelemata group in the mid-1990s, while Japanese laboratory links continued and Japanese and French research and formulation centers supported the brand. In fragrance, it draws on Japanese civilization and culture through French perfumery know-how; Annayaké pour Elle, launched in 2000, is identified as a signature fragrance.
