Fragrance house
Annick Goutal
Annick Goutal founded her eponymous perfume house in Paris in 1981, after working as a pianist and model and studying raw materials and perfumery in Grasse. The house’s creative identity is rooted in translating emotion, memory, and personal stories into fragrance, with an emphasis on natural essences and creative freedom. Goutal died in 1999, and her daughter Camille continued to draw inspiration from her approach while remaining involved in fragrance choices. The house entered high perfumery with the L’Eau d’Hadrien line, which Interparfums identifies as one of Goutal’s iconic lines. On March 17, 2025, Interparfums announced that its subsidiary Interparfums SA had acquired the worldwide intellectual-property rights to Maison Goutal from Amorepacific Europe. Amorepacific Europe would continue operating the brand under a time-limited licence, with Interparfums developing it from 2026.
