Fragrance house
ānti
ānti is a Paris-registered French perfume brand founded by Larissa Sugaipova and Brieuc Larsonneur, who met while working for a niche perfume house before deciding to create their own brand. Its operating company, ĀNTI PARFUM, was established on 1 March 2024, while public fragrance references date the first releases to 2025. The founders frame perfume as a vehicle for collective memory, exploring whether scent can evoke distant worlds such as ancient Rome and pharaonic Egypt. This idea informs ānti’s creative identity of “olfactory archaeology,” which translates historical research and forgotten olfactory traditions through contemporary perfumery rather than reproducing heritage conventions. The name refers to antiu, an early perfume described in ancient Egyptian texts as being made with myrrh and incense and associated with a link between the living and the afterlife. The initial collection follows a chronological route through ancient civilizations, the Italian Renaissance, Pompeii, and twentieth-century cultural references. Bast draws on Egyptian sacred origins and the earliest documented perfume, while Rosa Antiqua reinterprets an ancient fragrance discovery from Pompeii.
