Antonio Alessandria

Antonio Alessandria was born in Catania, Sicily, on March 30, 1971. Before entering perfumery, he graduated in electronic engineering and worked in the semiconductor industry, then trained in Italy and Paris before deepening his formulation knowledge with independent perfumers. On October 31, 2005, he opened the artistic-perfumery boutique Boudoir 36 in Catania. Antonio Alessandria Parfums launched in 2014, with Alessandria as its creator, artistic director, and perfumer. The brand treats perfume as a story expressed through olfactive sensations, drawing on memory, imagination, family history, and the culture and history of Sicily and Catania. Its olfactory identity uses contrast and chiaroscuro to evoke a Sicily understood as historically layered and culturally complex, rather than solely bright and citrus-focused. The brand debuted with the Homage to the Moon trilogy, inspired by the moon and its phases, which achieved success in Italy and beyond. In 2022, its collection comprised nine fragrances.
