April Aromatics

April Aromatics was founded in 2006 while Tanja Bochnig was living in New York City, and began as a small cottage-industry business: she first made products for herself and friends before registering the company and developing it formally. After Bochnig moved back to Germany, her husband relaunched the brand and substantially redesigned its branding and packaging. Now based in Berlin, April Aromatics is owned by Bochnig, who is also its founder and perfumer. Her creative background includes aromatherapy, botany, and natural perfumery, while the brand’s identity centers on botanical and natural materials sourced sustainably and organically whenever possible, connecting scent with emotional and spiritual well-being. Calling All Angels is a defining April Aromatics fragrance; it was described as one of the brand’s most popular fragrances and won the Artisan category at the 2014 Art and Olfaction Awards.
