Aqaba
Aqaba is a fragrance brand founded in New York by Miriam Mirani. Mirani developed it over five years, and Aqaba entered the market in November 1998 at Henri Bendel in New York. Its creative identity draws on Middle Eastern and Biblical-history imagery, particularly the love story of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba, linking ancient Arabian fragrance traditions with the present. The brand’s development included Aqaba Spring in 2005, Aqaba Men in 2006, the Jewels of Aqaba Creation collection in 2007, the Spirit collection in 2012, and Aqaba Men II in 2013. The Jewels of Aqaba concept organizes fragrances around thematic components of love, including Creation and Spirit. Aqaba Classic, launched in 1998, is the originating fragrance and an oriental floral spice. The official website currently presents Aqaba under the Mirani name alongside fragrance, bath-and-body, candle, and related product categories.
