Aqua dos Açores

Aqua dos Açores originated in the Azores through a Florentine couple’s near-chance bond with the islands in 2008. Its project is connected to Faial, near the Capelinhos volcano, and to the recovery of vine cultivation through the selection of native varieties. The brand’s concept is an olfactory travel diary of the Azores, bringing together the islands’ history, nature, colours and fragrances with Italian artisan perfumery and research into natural essences and raw materials. Presented as a newly launched fragrance line at Pitti Fragranze in 2019, Aqua dos Açores introduced Azul, a composition inspired by oceanic winds, salt-soaked antique sailing wood, volcanic rock and the deep-blue Atlantic setting of the islands. Azul and Flores were developed in Florence by perfumer Alba Chiara de Vitis.
