Arabian Oud

Arabian Oud began in 1982 as a small fragrance boutique in Riyadh’s old Alzal souk, founded by Sheikh Abdul-Aziz Al Jasser. Its original concept was to source and expertly blend oils and scents, an approach that continues to inform the brand’s perfumery identity. From its Riyadh beginnings, Arabian Oud developed into an international fragrance house exporting perfumes while expressing a Saudi identity rooted in Eastern heritage. Its creative character brings traditional Eastern perfume heritage into dialogue with modernity and Western influence, with an emphasis on oud, oriental perfumes, incense, and oils. In November 2012, Arabian Oud received five of the fourteen FiFi Arabia awards announced that year. Shahrayar and Hayati won Fragrance of the Year, while Lamsa and Sehr Al Kalemat were selected as consumer favorites. Sehr Al Kalemat was also named an Arabian Male favorite, and contemporaneous coverage described the winning fragrances as successful in local and global markets.
