Arden Beauty
Arden Beauty is a single fragrance from Elizabeth Arden, whose wider beauty business began in 1910 when Florence Nightingale Graham, known professionally as Elizabeth Arden, opened the first Red Door salon on Fifth Avenue in New York. The company’s founding identity treated beauty as a combination of skincare, science and nature, alongside makeup and related beauty products. That salon heritage also informed Red Door, a fragrance launched in 1989. Arden Beauty followed in 2002 as a floral-green fragrance, with Antoine Lie credited as its perfumer; Elizabeth Arden presents it as a fresh green floral built around blue lotus, sandalwood and musk. Revlon completed its acquisition of Elizabeth Arden in 2016, bringing the business into its global beauty portfolio. When Revlon emerged from bankruptcy in 2023 as a private company, with the majority of its equity owned by former lenders, the ultimate ownership context of Elizabeth Arden changed.
