Argentum

Argentum originated with Joy Isaacs, who conceived the concept after a 2010 dream about using silver in skincare. Argentum Apothecary Limited was incorporated in the United Kingdom on 8 February 2011, and the brand launched in 2012 with la potion infinie, a silver-based day-and-night face cream. Isaacs developed Argentum with dermocosmetic scientist Gilbert Mouzin, and they patented AgPolyN®, a fusion of Silver Hydrosol and DNA HP. The brand’s identity combines silver-based skincare science with poetry, beauty through balance, and a psychology-inspired system of 12 archetypes; Sam Gray helped shape the black-and-white symbolism that became archetype cards for its fragrance-reading concept. Ushopal acquired Argentum Apothecary in 2022, with Isaacs continuing to lead the brand after the deal. That year, Argentum introduced les parfums infinis, a fragrance collection organized around the 12 archetypes. Its first and signature scent, BECOME, is designated No. 0 and symbolizes the integration of the other archetypes. Argentum’s fragrance work was developed with Grasse-based perfumer Delphine Thierry.
