Arndale

Arndale is a Manchester shopping centre founded through the Arndale Property Trust. The trust was established by property developers Arnold Hagenbach and Sam H. Chippindale, whose names were combined to form “Arndale.” The centre was built between 1971 and 1979 and officially opened in stages, with a ceremony attended by HRH Princess Royal in 1979.
