ARRAN Sense Of Scotland

ARRAN Sense Of Scotland began in 1989 as Arran Aromatics, founded by skincare enthusiast Janet Russell on the Isle of Arran. Its early concept centered on fragranced bath and body products using Arran’s mineral-rich water, with the island’s natural landscape and local community shaping an identity now expressed across bath, body, home, and fine-fragrance products. The original Apothecary collection launched in 1992 and became a continuing heritage range, while After the Rain was created in 1999 after Russell drew inspiration from her garden’s scent following rainfall. In 2016, Arran Aromatics adopted the ARRAN Sense of Scotland identity, linking product and collection names more closely to Isle of Arran landmarks while leaving existing scents unchanged. Endless LLP acquired the business and assets from administrators on March 6, 2017. In 2025, ownership transferred to Kevin Meechan and founding-family members Andrew and Duncan Russell, returning the business to private ownership. ARRAN Naturals launched in 2022 with natural fragrance and a wellbeing-oriented concept built around functional fragrance and active ingredients.
