Art Brüt

Founded in Berlin in 2023 by Daniel Matousek, Carlo von Lintel, and Jan-Holger Arndt, Art Brüt is an independent fragrance house built around the idea of “raw art.” It treats perfume as a narrative art form, drawing on lived experience, autobiographical moments, emotions, contradictions, and memories. Each fragrance forms part of a broader visual and narrative universe that connects scent with photography, design, language, and campaign concepts. The brand’s creative approach rejects conventional fragrance formulas through untamed curiosity, deliberate incompleteness, irony, and a rethinking of clichés. Its earliest recorded fragrance edition dates to 2024, shortly after the house was founded.
