Art Deco Perfumes
Art Deco Perfumes is a Russian fragrance brand associated with Saint Petersburg and dated to 2013. Elina Arsenieva, a fragrance and art historian, educator, and founder of the Saint Petersburg Museum of Perfumery and Perfumers’ School, created the brand as a creative workshop connected to her museum collection, which belongs to her as an individual. The project initially served graduates of her perfumery school who had not established their own brands, with its first reported selection comprising four compositions by Alexey Radutny, Svetlana Safonova, and Irina Petrishcheva, alongside later expansion by Arsenieva. From 2014, she created fragrances independently under the Art Deco Perfumes name in the museum’s laboratory; Leningradskaya Fantasia was identified as her first perfume. The brand’s shared retro style extends across scent, naming, positioning, and visual presentation, while its official groupings include Leningrad and vintage styles tied to Soviet and pre-revolutionary perfume references. Its 2015 White Lilac 1947 reconstructed a 1947 Leningrad fragrance, and Arctic Convoy, also created in 2015, was dedicated to sailors who carried Lend-Lease supplies to the USSR during World War II.
