Fragrance house

Asgharali

Asghar Ali arrived in Bahrain in 1919 and began trading there; Asgharali identifies 1924 as the year it was established as a fragrance house in Bahrain. Founded by Asghar Ali (1904–1997), the business developed beyond perfumery into other ventures. Saleem Asghar Ali joined the family business in 1969 and later directed its development from a regional business toward international activity. Asgharali’s fragrance identity centers on Arabian perfumery and materials and scent families including oud, amber, musk, rose, jasmine, sandalwood, and saffron. In 2024, the house marked its centenary with the Limited Edition 100 Collection, developed with four Bahrain-based public figures as a commemoration of its history. Estabraq is identified as a well-known collection, built around a spicy-fougère and ambery profile and offered in fragrance, oil, bakhoor, and oud formats.
