Fragrance house

ASQ

ASQ traces its fragrance-trade roots to the Al Qurashi family’s beginnings in 1852, while the first perfumery bearing Sheikh Abdul Samad Al Qurashi’s name opened in Mecca in 1932, dealing in oud, amber, and perfumes. Its identity is grounded in Saudi, particularly Meccan, perfumery and in oud, amber, musk, oils, and incense, alongside themes of authenticity, tradition, and continued innovation. The founder shaped the house’s creative direction through journeys in search of fragrance materials and blends combining oud, amber, musk, jasmine, and other botanicals. After his death, his sons Anas, Mohammad, Ihsan, and Zouheir inherited the family business and, in 1988, merged 21 separately operated branches into one entity under the Abdul Samad Al Qurashi name. The multigenerational house combined a more modern development orientation with attention to oud’s historical and aromatic importance. Its fragrance legacy includes Body Musk, an established house blend built around white agarwood and musk that the official store identifies as its top-selling blend.
