Atelier des Ors
Founded in France in 2015 by Jean-Philippe Clermont, Atelier des Ors grew from his experience in the Middle East and cigar distribution, with the project taking shape in 2011 before the brand launched. Its identity treats perfume as an aesthetic and emotional art form, bringing together gold, exceptional materials, craftsmanship, memory, and poetic imagination. The hippocampus emblem connects these themes to the 24-carat gold hallmark and to the brain structure associated with memory. Marie Salamagne has collaborated with Atelier des Ors from the beginning and is described as its enduring house perfumer, while DSM-Firmenich has worked closely with the brand since 2015. Early fragrances centered on vanilla, rose, and iris; Lune Féline and Rose Omeyyade, both launched in 2015, exemplify that direction. The brand is now based at Villa Primerose in Grasse, a historic building dating to 1886. A defining fragrance example is Bois Sikar, inspired by cigars, cedar cigar boxes, Islay whisky, and oak.
