Atelier Materi

Founded in 2019 by Véronique Le Bihan and presented that year at Pitti Fragranze in Florence, Atelier Materi emerged from her more than a decade developing cosmetics and fragrances for French and international brands. She created the house to pursue a more human, responsible, and creatively independent approach. Its name comes from the Breton word “Materi,” meaning “matter,” while Brittany’s raw coastal and mineral landscapes inform its visual and creative identity. Each fragrance places a natural raw material at its center and explores contrasting combinations to reveal different facets. The 2019 debut comprised five fragrances, four composed with Marie Hugentobler and one with Lucas Sieuzac. Atelier Materi added Narcisse Taiji in 2021 and Rose Ardoise in early 2022, the latter created by Céline Perdriel. In October 2024, Perdriel also created the house’s three-fragrance Les Extraits de Parfum collection: Néroli Hasbaya, Burgundy Oud, and Ambre Papier.
