Atl. Oblique

Atl. Oblique is a Berlin-based niche perfume house founded by designer Mario Lombardo. Its creative language grows from Lombardo’s graphic-design practice and from his use of fragrance to preserve life experiences and childhood memories, including those connected with Argentina and Germany; the name “Oblique” refers to the French typographic term for italic. The house began with the Alphabet Collection, a series of scented candles assigning a fragrance and story to each letter; in 2018, the collection comprised 27 candles, including an ampersand. It subsequently expanded into a boutique artisanal perfume house combining modern German design with French perfumery. Its core offering is handmade scented candles and a unisex Eau de Parfum line, with fragrances composed in France and collections produced in Germany. The first perfume collection was introduced at Pitti Fragranze in Florence in 2017, with early perfumes including Marble Sea, White Light, Closer, and Saint.
