Fragrance house
Auphorie
Auphorie was founded in Malaysia in 2015 by brothers Eugene Au and Emrys Au. After working in food and beverage, the pair taught themselves perfume creation through books and internet resources, then developed scents together from concept and raw-material selection through blending and evaluation. Its creative identity combines cultural and heritage references, especially from the Eastern world, with modern composition and technology. Auphorie is a founder-led fragrance house producing small-batch scents with natural extracts and rare natural incense materials. Its cultural storytelling appears in L’Histoire Oubliée de Dunhuang, developed from research into Dunhuang’s history and expressed through packaging motifs associated with the city’s heritage. In fragrance, Miyako won the Artisan category at the 2016 Art and Olfaction Awards, while L’Anima Della Rosa was a finalist in the same category in 2019.
