Austin Press

Austin Press was founded in 2004 by Kimberly Austin, whose background was initially in photography before she turned to letterpress in search of a new artistic medium. What began as a letterpress and design studio developed into a maker of paper goods, handcrafted soaps, candles, and perfumes. Presented as a San Francisco brand, Austin Press combines letterpress presentation with a small-batch apothecary range, with Austin personally developing work across its paper, candle, soap, and perfume lines. Its perfumes and candles are organized into four scent families—Botanical, Earthen, Herbaceous, and Exotic—while its scent design uses place- and character-based storytelling, pairing evocative names and backstories with scent compositions.
