Avril Lavigne
Avril Lavigne’s fragrance line began with Black Star, her first fragrance, launched in London in March 2009 before its European release in July and later releases in the United States and Canada. Lavigne was closely involved in its development, contributing to the bottle design, color scheme, wearable ring detail, fragrance inspiration, and overall creative process. Black Star’s visual identity combined pink-and-black styling with stars and studs, alongside the message “be your own star.” The line continued with Forbidden Rose in 2010 and Wild Rose in 2011, described as Lavigne’s third fragrance. Black Star won the 2010 Cosmetic Executive Women Beauty Award in the Women’s Scent Mass category and is identified as Lavigne’s signature scent.
