Azman

Azman is an Emirati fragrance brand founded in Dubai in 2021 by Husen Baba. Its name refers in Arabic to hours or moments, while the brand presents fragrance as an emotionally evocative, curated olfactory experience. The house reinterprets oud perfumery through rare or nearly forgotten ingredients from around the world, French-inspired expertise, and attention to wearability. Baba came to perfumery after working in advertising and luxury-brand storytelling; a meeting with Frédéric Malle and subsequent study in Grasse were formative to his vocation and creative direction. An earlier project, Azman Oud, was created in 2016, while Azman Perfumes dates to 2021. Its debut fragrance, Two Minutes After The Kiss, was released in 2021 as a rose-and-oud composition offering an unusual interpretation of the oud tradition. In 2022, the house expanded with Majnoon, I Am Darkness, and Killer Vavoom; Majnoon was created with perfumer Prin Lomros and described as a double-oud fragrance. In 2025, Azman presented Crown of Fire in collaboration with perfumer Jerry Lin and his Taiwanese brand Ordiolab. Azman is especially associated with oud-based perfumery, which appears as an important element in most of its early releases.
