Badr Harqan

Badr Harqan is a Saudi niche perfume house created by Saudi perfumer Badr Harqan. Raised in Manfouha, Riyadh, Harqan links his understanding of beauty and scent to that formative setting. In 2010, his move into fragrance took him to France, where he studied perfumery, chemistry, and natural extraction. The brand’s creative identity connects fragrance with Saudi place, memory, and contemporary identity, drawing on references including Saudi coffee, Talh wood after rain, and oud burning in a Najdi home. Harqan’s wider practice includes fragrance and scent-identity work for Saudia Airlines, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Diriyah for the Diriyah Gate Development Authority, and The Ritz-Carlton Red Sea. His work received awards for best fragrance in Paris in 2016 and 2021, and in 2024 he was identified with Saudia’s scent-identity work. The earliest directly verified public record for the Badr Harqan name is a French trademark filing for perfumes dated 12 September 2021.
