Baldi
Baldi traces its origins to a Florentine art atelier founded in 1867 and linked to the neoclassical sculptor Vincenzo Consani. Its identity grew from Florentine decorative arts, including lost-wax bronze casting and stone-inlay techniques using malachite, lapis lazuli, and amethyst. By the mid-20th century, its functional, art-focused objects were known as “home jewels.” In 2020, the historic Florentine maker of furniture and decorative objects faced a serious financial crisis, while its ownership had not officially confirmed the company’s future. From 2024, Baldi entered a new chapter under the vision of the Lari family, combining inherited craftsmanship with contemporary technology. The brand introduced a fragrance line in 2013, comprising four releases from that year, with Enzo Galardi named as perfumer. The small collection reflects Baldi’s material vocabulary; Malachite shares its name with one of the brand’s signature decorative stones.
