Barre

Established in 2015, Barre is a fragrance collection created by visual artist and independent perfumer Bree Hyland. Made in Hyland’s studio in rural Mi’kma’ki, Nova Scotia, at Plekteaq / Scots Bay, the brand is a small-batch, artist-led perfume house shaped by an independent and unconventional approach to fragrance. Barre’s creative premise is to make unique aromas for different seasons, whimsical forms of expression, and changing moods, treating perfume as personal aura and wearable art. Its documented fragrance editions span 2016 through 2026, with Hyland credited as the nose behind the fragrances. Cult, released in 2022, is an artistic, atmospheric BARRE fragrance.
