BedeauX

BedeauX was founded by Amanda Beadle after she studied perfumery, and the brand makes bespoke perfumes for individuals and businesses. A self-taught artisan perfumer based in Sussex, UK, Beadle also works as a painter, with visual scenes and experimentation forming part of her creative process. The brand’s first perfume, Chienoir, was created for Black Dog Hill Vineyard after a commission to reflect the English vineyard’s landscape. In 2018, Chienoir won the Artisan category of the Art and Olfaction Awards, with Beadle credited as its perfumer. The fragrance is particularly associated with BedeauX as Beadle’s debut perfume and the one she would choose; its concept centers on mossy woodland, green vines, white flowers, and chalky vineyard terroir. BedeauX expanded its fragrance work with further artisan perfumes, including Hibou and Chouette, two interpretations of nighttime, and Boutique, a contemporary urban perfume.
