Bella Bellissima
Bella Bellissima is a London perfume house founded in 2007 by Bella Crane, who had previously worked as a BBC news journalist and presenter before training with perfume houses in Paris and Grasse. Its first reported retail introduction came at Selfridges in March 2007, with an initial collection of Perfect Day, Perfect Night, Perfect Man, and Perfect Man Alternative. Crane remains the house’s central creative figure, creating its compositions through a modern approach informed by traditional perfumery skills. The brand’s creative identity draws on rare natural materials, the natural world, emotional and sensory associations, and repeated revisions of each scent. Its current approach combines classic French perfumery know-how with a modern, sometimes shocking character, alongside artisanal techniques and bespoke packaging. A documented focus of its fragrance work is oud: the Essence of Oud collection is built around agarwood oil, while Ouds du Futur presents five interpretations of natural Indian oud. Blue Diamond Oud, dated to 2013, is one example within that oud focus.
